Today I was involved in an increasingly common and unfortunate situation. ProPay is an acquiring agent and also a third party service provider. One of our clients which is not a ProPay merchant is using a service of ours which removes all data from their environment and therefore removes the need to comply with all but one of [...]

This weekend I was reading the news and came across a story that piqued my attention. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is ready to deliver a “self aiming sniper rifle”. DARPA also happens to be one of the groups responsible for development of the Internet with their creation of ARPANet. I was reading [...]

From 1 of October 2010 webtopay.com project replaces a payment method through Swedbank. Instructions on how to make a simple order for the taxpayer will not be placed like before, mostly for amounts higher than 166 litas. Also, the Bank Link service will not be used for standard banking services, although it is convenient, but expensive service.
[end_header]EVP International, JSC, which is trying to obtain a license for a payment institution this year, have used the operating principle of the most common payment system in Germany, at https://www.directebanking.com/. This system is already more than a year connected to the webtopay.com system and have approved, so it was decided to dispose the same system in Lithuania.
The advantages of the system are:
1. It is possible to make a payment directly to the seller's bank account.
a. In this case, the seller does not pay any bank transfer taxes if the taxpayer is in the same bank.
b. Money appears on bank account without any delay on webtopay.com system.
2. In the absence of the Swedbank account or if you do not want to receive these funds directly, the service charge from webtopay.com side is minimal, compared with the payments made through other banks or by using Bank Link service.
3. The most important is that the user does not enter a payment data by hand, the seller will be informed immediately, as soon the money are retrieved from the buyer's account and the payment can no longer be withdrawn.
The experience of German partners and statistics of use of the system shows, that in the presence of a reliable provider of services, security systems, the appropriate service, the method of payment is a recognized form of payment in the country. However, realizing that Lithuania is not Germany, we left the opportunity for the consumer to refuse the new payment method and choose the payment of a simple transfer in accordance with the instructions, so all can do a payment as they want.
Performance of the system follows: a safe system webtopay.com with the agreement of the customer use identification data for e-banking system forms the payment for the consumer and it is carried out. Throughout the process, the user is being informed of all the steps carried out by e-banking system, webtopay.com does not store any data of the user access to bank. This is being made using the bank's security standards with encrypted data transmission protocols.
Please be advised that customers, who wish to have the old payment method, using Swedbank provided "Bank Link" service, may sign a contract directly with the bank. Webtopay.com then may leave the technical solution that nothing should be programmed for the e-shop. The payment in this way will go directly to the client's bank account; a commission fee for this service will be paid directly to Swedbank. Swedbank has declared the standard conditions of 3% of the amount of payments.
