“Being able to shop online is second nature to a retail brand as MQ and our customers. Therefore, we launch a webshop for a selection of our product range as a complement to our stores around Sweden," said Johan Elfner, CEO of MQ Holding AB. “We chose DIBS because they are a leading and reliable supplier and their solutions are well integrated with our technology platform through Viskan Distanshandel.”
“We are pleased that MQ is launching an online store with our payment gateway. This is a successful collaboration through our network of technology partners that make it easy to launch e-commerce," said Eric Wallin, CEO of DIBS. “Fashion is growing at a record pace on the web. DIBS E-Commerce Index 2010 is launched later this fall and shows that 82% of the Swedish consumers intend to increase their purchases of fashion on the web in the next 12 months.”
Through DIBS, MQ offers payments with a number of cards, bank transfers from leading banks and payment via invoice. The site has been tested successfully in a month of a limited test group. Initially offered a selection of the MQ range. Among MQ brands on the web is today 365 Sunshine, Björn Borg, Blue Print, Ink, Bondelid, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Emilio, Fred Perry, In Wear, Levi's, Lyle & Scott, Peak Performance, Scotch & Soda, Stockh lm and zoule.

I was doing some research today and was struck again at how often Privacy is “back-burnered” in the data security discussion. There is a feeling among some that as long as industry best practice security protections are in place, privacy will take care of itself. To my mind, it’s often the other way around – [...]

Is the PCI DSS a fraud prevention standard? If I experience fraud am I non-compliant with the PCI DSS? Does fraud indicate bad security? [...]

New venue, new website and new categories for the most open Web Awards in Ireland
With Awards season in full effect, the 2010 Web Awards have been launched with Realex Payments once again the headline sponsor. This is the third year of these awards that base their categories on what the Web community in Ireland wants. The Awards try to be as democratic as possible with no nomination fees and low ticket prices for the ceremony in order to facilitate the broadest mix of website owners.
Damien Mulley, organiser of the Web Awards: "We created the Web Awards to allow anyone with any budget or no budget at all to submit their website to compete fairly with others. All of the websites submitted get judged, with those shortlisted going through two judging processes to decide the winners.
It's the web community in Ireland, both creators and viewers that judge these sites. Last year we had a panel of 100 judges to go through the 100s of websites submitted."
Colm Lyon, managing director of Realex Payments, headline sponsor said: "This is our second year supporting the Irish Web Awards, we thoroughly enjoyed the awards last year so we didn't hesitate in getting involved again. The Irish web community is truly innovative and inspiring, for us to be part of this event which celebrates the achievements of the Irish web community in such a positive way, is an honour for Realex Payments."
The Web Awards take place on October 16th in the Mansion House in Dublin. The website to submit nominations is www.Webawards.ie Nominations are open until Thursday September 2nd. Finalists will be announced on October 1st with the Awards ceremony on October 16th. MC for the evening is 2Fm's Rick O'Shea.
