Dear Friends,
It has come to our attention, that we have to disclose about a little more than a dozen of Liberty Reserve accounts that had to be secured via API protocol after our system has detected suspicious behavior. Please rest assured that no money losses had occurred as all funds in question were moved out (but remained in our system) to help us monitor the situation and to discover similarities between accounts involved. This was done, via few recent system updates, to study the actual source of the concern and to apply remedy as soon as possible.As we have now resolved the issue, money will be sent back to the accounts within days and it is back to business as usual. Unfortunately, warning the users beforehand would have turned out to be counterproductive and delay our resolutions further. For this - we apologize.
Running a system, as complex, as Liberty Reserve requires us to stay on cutting edge of latest technologies and solutions available while continuously trying to improve and make our system easier and more user friendly. This "balancing" act sometimes has its price tag of having to inconvenience our users once in a while, but rewards us with more sound system integrity and security. As always, your funds are safe with Liberty Reserve and you can count on us being there for you, even when it does not visibly appear to be so.
We advise you to never use any 3rd party e-wallet software that has not been produced by Liberty Reserve team, to always pay close attention to e-mails and to NEVER click on any links within those. For businesses-please come up with ways to audit your programmers or other technical personnel and limit or restrict access to your servers for your system admins, as it has been shown many time before that corrupt system administrators, programmers,disgruntled former employees, etc., appeared to be number one reason for unauthorized account access.
Please ALWAYS note that the only accurate source of information will always be available on our official blog or on the web site. Please do not fall victim to false or inaccurate postings on forums, e-mails or via any other media.

December 7, between 09:00 (pm) and 1:00 (am) UTC
Liberty Reserve would like to introduce you SMS Verification Feature as part of our services. SMS coverage will be worldwide, however some of the telecommunication providers in certain countries may not be supported. You can report this issue to Liberty Reserve customer support and they will gladly assist you.
You will be able to see it as soon as the system has been placed back on-line. You will find this feature under Security Settings of your account. Presently it will be used for Verification Pin delivery process as an alternative verification method besides the present E-Reset Form.
It will be also used as part of security measures for upcoming Non-Developer API Tools.

Dear Friends,
We would like to inform you that Liberty Reserve has started to develop a new wide API tool set for non-developer use. This product is targeting small to mid-size businesses and will assist our clients in handling of their accounts in more streamlined way. This additional feature will not require programming skills or much of your time to install or implement, but will allow you to gain a secure and easy way to control your account. The beta testing is being scheduled for December with the final release date of March 15th. 2013.
We would also like to express extreme caution on using 3rd party, unofficial and unauthorized e-wallets, account keepers and such as we can NOT guarantee your account safety while using products not designed or tested by our programmer's team. You are hereby notified that use of such software is solely at your own risk, and if you encounter any problem with your account while using such software our support team will not be able to offer much of assistance as the products in question are not ours.
As a safety measure, if you are excepting the risk of using such utilities please: disallow the Transfer Option under the API Settings in your Liberty Reserve account. If you are switching to your own API Tools (written by by account holder's trusted group of programmers) from a 3rd party utility and allowing the API Transfer option, please ALWAYS remember to CHANGE your Security Word first to avoid unauthorized access to your funds or account controls.
