Recently all new Webtopay.com customers have already noticed the some changes, and now it is time to experience them. The changes have to be made till 3rd of May, 2010. |
[end_header]
There will be quite a lot of Webtopay.com changes. However, the changes, requiring you to reprogram your website part, are only in this letter. The whole month will be used to implement these new changes and we will undertake every effort to ensure the transition of new operating principles is as smooth as possible. From May 03rd, 2010 all changes will be obligatory, and till the date mentioned both new and exiting systems are operational.
Key legal changes:
- One customer is enabled to have only one user at Webtopay.com system, so if you have more, you will need to choose one and inform us via e-mail at supportwebtopay.com.
- Login to the system will be changed to primary e-mail address. Please change it by logging in and selecting "change of information".
- All new sites upon providing any new services will be inspected and approved by our administration.
The information below is crucial for your developers in order to update your web sites
Technical changes concerning macro payment services
New specification: https://www.webtopay.com/macro_specification.html
Different content management and online shopping system modules will be placed at
https://support.webtopay.com
- MerchantId no longer used, projectid is used instead and is acquired by starting a project at "Service Management"
- Customer’s e-mail must be submitted. E-mail address. If it is not provided, the customer is asked to enter it
- All data sent to Webtopay.com must be signed, otherwise data will not be accepted. The parameter "sign" is described in the macro specification.
- Webtopay.com incoming data must be verified with _ss2 parameter. _SS1 password is used, and used only if it is not possible to use _ss2.
- In order to test the project with test payments, it is necessary to put the project into "test" mode.
- Your site will always be informed again when the you have not returned "OK" first as described in the specification in the first table at line 8. Previously, it was not mandatory.
- From now on by setting "payment" method to the customer, he will not be redirected to bank payment page at once. Customer will be informed about who is providing payment service and only in a few seconds automatically, or when you press the corresponding button, customer will go to a specific payment method. We recommend not using this parameter and allowing customer choosing the payment method at Webtopay.com site. In this case, all new methods of payment will automatically be available to customers without any additional programming.
Technical changes micro (SMS, 900-line) payment services
Updated specifications are found at the following addresses:
https://www.webtopay.com/specification_sms.html
https://www.webtopay.com/specification_900.html
- 900-line services are using ProjectId but not MerchantId parameter
- Old transaction and transaction2 are not used from now on.
- _SS1 Parameter is sent only if a particular keyword is given a special password. General access to Webtopay.com password is no longer in use
- _SS2 Parameter is still recommended as the most reliable method, but since the new certificate is used, please renew your existing certificate, or the verification algorithm itself.
- Upon the receipt of an SMS message it is necessary to provide the "OK" or "NOSMS" characters prior to response. These characters allows Webtopay.com server understanding that the message is processed successfully. We are not sending this text to user, because only the part following “OK” will be sent. In the absence of any of the parameters described Webtopay.com will send the following information to your website a few times daily during the period. Make sure that the message ID parameter in not yet registered within your system, because sometimes due to Internet glitches, we could miss the success of failure notification and we are repeating the details of the same message.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please e-mail to us at supportwebtopay.com
Sincerely,
Webtopay.com Team
